My Project

Third grade is a critical year as students transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" while preparing for their first North Carolina End-of-Grade (EOG) English Language Arts assessment. My students are developing essential skills in reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and writing, and access to iPads will provide engaging tools to support their growth. These devices will allow students to practice reading strategies, explore digital texts, strengthen writing skills, receive immediate feedback, and participate in personalized small-group instruction. The goal of this project is to help students become confident readers, thoughtful writers, and effective communicators by providing resources that meet their individual learning needs.

What makes my third graders special is their curiosity, resilience, and willingness to grow.

They come to school ready to learn, collaborate, and overcome challenges. With the support of technology, they will continue to SOAR as lifelong learners.
