My Project

My classroom is a self-contained special education classroom serving students with autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities. My students are bright, determined, and full of potential, but many require individualized support to communicate, regulate their emotions, and participate successfully in daily learning. Many of my students have significant sensory needs and may become overwhelmed by changes in routine or challenging tasks, making access to appropriate sensory tools and adaptive materials essential.

The resources in this project will help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment where every student can succeed.

Sensory supports, visual learning materials, adaptive classroom supplies, and hands-on activities will help students stay regulated, improve communication, increase independence, and remain engaged throughout the school day. These tools also help reduce frustration by providing students with appropriate ways to meet their sensory and communication needs.

Starting the school year with these essential resources means my students will have the support they need from the very first day of school. Your generosity will help create a classroom where every child feels safe, supported, and capable of reaching their full potential.
