My Project

In my third grade classroom we complete an extensive project called "A Living Wax Museum." Students are tasked with researching a historical figure, completing a research project through exploring biographies, and then memorizing a one minute speech to preform at our living wax museum. I am also asking for books about our solar system. Students also are asked to complete a "Galaxy Game" project where we focus on facts about the solar system through creating a board game to teach the information to others. My goal is for students to be able to complete their research in a classroom setting with flexible seating where they are not required to sit at a traditional desk all day. This allows students to be more engaged and focused in daily tasks and projects.

I want to provide my students with the opportunity to get cozy with a book about the topic they are tasked with studying rather than a device to complete their research!
