Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach math in Spanish to English speaking students, and having visuals and hands on materials helps my students a lot. Learning math in another language can be challenging, so using pictures, manipulatives, and real examples helps students understand concepts and feel more confident.

I want my classroom to be a place where my students feel comfortable trying new words, making mistakes, and learning together.

A clean carpet and basic supplies will help create a warm classroom.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
