Help me give my students the tools to establish a lifelong love of reading! From an easy to access spinning bookshelf, to beloved stuffed animals to practice reading aloud to, a welcoming library is essential in any classroom!

My Project

Every child deserves a place where reading feels like an adventure instead of an assignment. My goal is to create a warm, inviting classroom library that welcomes students the moment they walk through the door—a space that feels safe, comfortable, and filled with stories waiting to be discovered.

One of the greatest joys of teaching is watching a reluctant reader become completely captivated by a book series.

When students find characters they connect with and stories they can’t wait to continue, reading transforms from something they have to do into something they want to do. Those moments spark a love of reading that can last a lifetime.

I also want to provide opportunities for students to build their confidence by reading aloud to stuffed animals. These furry, judgment-free listeners help children practice fluency, expression, and comprehension in a relaxed environment. Reading to a stuffed animal removes the fear of making mistakes and encourages students to take risks as they grow into confident readers.

With your support, our classroom library will become more than a collection of books—it will become a place where imaginations flourish, confidence grows, and every child can discover the joy of getting lost in a great story.
