My Project

My students come to school each day ready to learn, grow, and prepare for their futures, but sometimes basic needs can make it difficult to focus. This project will provide snacks and essential hygiene products to help students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

Having snacks available can make a big difference for students who may be hungry during the school day, while hygiene essentials such as deodorant, feminine products, lotion, and other personal-care items allow students to discreetly access what they need without embarrassment.

By creating a classroom where students have access to these everyday necessities, I can help remove small barriers that can become big distractions. When students feel refreshed, cared for, and nourished, they can spend less time worrying about their basic needs and more time focusing on learning and succeeding.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
