My Project

As I begin my fourth year teaching elementary music in Title I schools in North Carolina—and my second year at my current school—I am incredibly grateful to teach students who truly love music. Over the past year, I've worked to revitalize our music program, and watching my students' excitement has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Together, we've brought musicals back to our school for the first time in years. My students have worked hard to prepare these performances, and seeing them proudly perform for their families has been unforgettable. These experiences have helped build their confidence, creativity, and sense of belonging.

Unfortunately, our county will no longer fund the Cultural Arts Program, which means I am now responsible for purchasing the classroom materials and supplies my students need.

From instruments and music manipulatives to storage, books, and everyday teaching resources, these items are essential for creating engaging lessons and keeping our music program thriving.

My students deserve a classroom where they can continue to explore, create, and grow through music. Every item donated will be used daily to provide hands-on learning experiences and ensure that music remains a place where every child feels successful.
