My Project

My 7th grade Social Studies classroom is a place where history comes alive through inquiry, discussion, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Every day, my students analyze historical documents, maps, primary sources, articles, and other instructional passages that challenge them to think critically and make meaningful connections to the world around them.

Highlighters are one of the most frequently used tools in my classroom.

My students annotate passages daily to identify key ideas, analyze evidence, build vocabulary, and support their thinking. These simple tools help transform reading into an active learning experience, giving students the confidence to engage with complex texts and strengthen their critical thinking skills.

Learning in my classroom extends beyond reading and writing. My students regularly create timelines, historical displays, geography projects, presentations, and classroom posters that allow them to demonstrate their understanding in creative and meaningful ways. Poster-making supplies will help bring these projects to life while encouraging collaboration, creativity, and pride in their work.

An organized classroom also makes a significant difference in student success. Tabletop storage organizers will keep pencils, highlighters, markers, scissors, glue sticks, and other everyday supplies within easy reach. When students have immediate access to the materials they need, they spend less time searching for supplies and more time engaged in learning. It also encourages responsibility, independence, and a classroom environment where everyone is prepared to succeed.
