My Project

As a fourth-year teacher and second-year English Language Arts teacher, I have the privilege of working with amazing middle school students who come to school every day eager to learn. I teach at a low-income school where many of my students face financial challenges outside of the classroom. For some, school is the one place where they know they will have the resources and support they need.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels welcomed, prepared, and confident from the moment they walk through the door.

Unfortunately, many students are unable to bring basic classroom supplies, which often means they begin the day already feeling behind. By providing shared classroom materials, I can remove those barriers and allow every student to focus on learning rather than worrying about what they don't have.

The supplies requested through this project will help stock our classroom with essential materials such as notebooks, pencils, pens, highlighters, sticky notes, folders, dry-erase markers, tissues, disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, and organizational supplies. These everyday items make a tremendous difference in helping students stay organized, participate in lessons, collaborate with classmates, and build confidence in their work.

In ELA, students spend their days reading, writing, discussing, annotating texts, and completing collaborative activities. Having consistent access to quality supplies allows them to fully engage in these learning experiences without interruption.

Every donation to this project is an investment in students who deserve a classroom where they feel supported, respected, and equipped for success. Your generosity will help create an environment where every child has the tools they need to grow as readers, writers, and lifelong learners.
