My Project

Every great school day begins with the basics. My self-contained classroom serves students with autism and diverse learning needs who learn best through hands-on, engaging activities. Simple supplies like crayons, markers, glue sticks, laminating sheets, and disinfecting wipes are used every single day to create meaningful learning experiences.

These everyday materials help my students practice writing, build fine motor skills, complete visual supports, create art projects, and participate in interactive lessons.

Laminating sheets allow me to make durable visual schedules, communication boards, task cards, and learning centers that can be used repeatedly throughout the year. Disinfecting wipes help maintain a clean and healthy classroom where students can learn safely.

Although these supplies may seem small, they are essential to keeping our classroom running smoothly. When these basic materials are available, I can spend more time teaching and less time worrying about replacing depleted supplies.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
