Sparking Creativity: Hands-On Electronics in the SparkLab!

Help me give my students soldering kits and supplies for hands-on, screenfree STEAM learning.

My Project

Our SparkLab is a bustling hub of curiosity, innovation, and hands-on learning. My students are natural makers, tinkerers, and problem solvers who thrive when they can learn by doing. They come from diverse backgrounds, but they share a common passion for technology, engineering, and creative expression. In our lab, mistakes are just iterations, and every challenge is an opportunity to learn. They are eager to move past theoretical textbooks and dive straight into the physical world of engineering, but they need the tactile, professional-grade materials to do so.

To take our engineering and robotics units to the next level, our students need to master the art of circuit building.

I am requesting high-quality rosin-core solder wire, prototyping PCB boards, and introductory electronic music box kits.

While we have the soldering irons, we are completely out of the consumable materials required to actually fuse circuits together. The ELEGOO prototyping boards will allow students to design and test their custom circuits from scratch. To give them a structured, rewarding challenge, the MiOYOOW music box kits will serve as the ultimate hands-on project. Students will practice precision soldering by mounting resistors, capacitors, and microchips, resulting in a functioning, programmable electronic instrument they can proudly say they built themselves.
