My Project

In our elementary school library, we believe every student deserves to see their interests reflected in the books they read. For many of our students, sports are more than games. They teach teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and determination. Unfortunately, our collection of sports-themed books is outdated, worn, and unable to meet the growing demand from our young readers.

This project will help us add a diverse selection of new sports fiction and nonfiction books to our library and will support literacy growth while encouraging students to pursue their passions and develop a lifelong love of reading.

Students are eager to read about their favorite sports, learn about inspiring athletes, and discover stories of young people overcoming challenges both on and off the field.

The new collection will include books about a variety of sports, athletes from diverse backgrounds, sports history, and stories that emphasize character, resilience, and teamwork. By providing engaging, high-interest reading materials, we can help reluctant readers become enthusiastic readers and give all students more opportunities to connect with books.
