My Project

My eighth-grade students come to class with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and reading abilities, but they all deserve the opportunity to see themselves as readers, writers, and thinkers. They are curious, creative, and eager to engage when learning is meaningful and relevant. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels confident sharing ideas, asking questions, and discovering the power of literature.

This year, I am transitioning to teaching ELA full-time, and I want to build a classroom that encourages students to read deeply, think critically, and write with purpose.

The resources in this project will help create engaging lessons, meaningful discussions, and opportunities for students to interact with texts in ways that strengthen comprehension, analysis, and communication skills.

These materials will be used daily to support whole-class instruction, small-group learning, independent reading, and collaborative activities. By providing high-quality resources, I can meet the needs of a wide range of learners while helping every student develop confidence as a reader and writer.
