My Project

I love that my students are creative, curious, and eager to learn in new ways. As middle school students, they benefit from opportunities to move, collaborate, and experience learning beyond the traditional classroom setting. They are at an age where having choice and ownership in their learning environment can make a big difference in their focus, engagement, and confidence.

The flexible outdoor seating in this project will help create a comfortable learning space where students can read, sketch, write, reflect, and work together.

These resources will allow us to take learning outside for art activities, small-group discussions, independent work, and creative brainstorming. Having outdoor seating will also give students a fresh environment that supports movement, collaboration, and calm focus.

Each seating option will help transform our outdoor space into an extension of the classroom. Instead of being limited to desks and chairs indoors, students will have a flexible space where they can spread out, get inspired by their surroundings, and participate in hands-on learning. This project will give my students a welcoming outdoor learning area that encourages creativity, connection, and student choice.
