Building a Thinking Classroom in Middle School

Help me give my students a magnetic dry erase whiteboard that will provide daily opportunities to practice math skills, solve problems, demonstrate their thinking, and build confidence through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

My Project

These students are entering the hardest year of middle school. In seventh grade math becomes more difficult and it becomes so important for them to build their critical thinking skills and remain engaged. They also need to learn how to engage with groups of people even if they don't get along or agree.

This Real Wooden Framed Magnetic Dry Erase Whiteboard will do just that.

By allowing students to be up and moving when they are doing math problems they will remain involved. This will also build their group work skills and require them to learn how to defend their work. All of these are critical skills as they move forward in education and life.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
