Help me give my students dedicated regulation and calming resources that will help us create school-wide calm-down spaces where students can practice coping strategies, regulate emotions, build resilience, and return to learning ready to succeed.

My Project

I love that my students come to school each day eager to learn, build friendships, and grow as individuals. They bring unique strengths, personalities, and experiences to our school community. While every child learns differently, all students benefit from having opportunities to develop self-regulation skills, manage emotions, and practice positive coping strategies.

These resources will help us create welcoming calm-down and regulation spaces throughout our school.

The wiggle seats and sensory seating options will provide students with movement opportunities that help improve focus and engagement. The sensory tent will offer a quiet space where students can reset and practice calming strategies when feeling overwhelmed. Kinetic sand and sensory wall panels will give students hands-on tools to reduce stress, regulate emotions, and build self-awareness. The mindfulness breathing lights will support students as they learn breathing techniques and other self-regulation strategies. Storage bins will help keep materials organized and accessible for staff and students.

By providing these resources, we will strengthen our school-wide social-emotional learning efforts and create supportive environments where students can build resilience, develop emotional regulation skills, and return to learning ready to succeed.
