My Project

Help bring literature to life for my curious and creative high school students through purposeful, rigorous, hands-on learning.

With LEGO bricks and Play-Doh, students will move beyond simply reading and deepen their literary analysis skills.

After close reading, annotation, discussion, and gathering textual evidence, students will create sculptures that represent themes, conflicts, symbols, or messages from the text. Every design choice must be supported with evidence and explained through discussion and reflection.

This project transforms reading into an active process of analysis, critical thinking, and meaningful learning.

Your donation of LEGO bricks and Play-Doh will provide students with an engaging and meaningful way to interact with literature while building critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.

Through your help, my goal is to transform reading from a passive activity into an active process of inquiry, evidence, and discovery—and help students see that literature is something they can build, explore, and truly understand.
