Fueling STEM Success: A Refrigerator Supporting Student Wellness and Learning

Help me give my students a large refrigerator for our school STEM program. To provide safe and reliable storage for snacks, beverages, and refreshments used during STEM activities, after-school programs, family engagement events, and other school-sponsored learning opportunities.

My Project

My students are curious, resilient, and eager to learn. As students in a Title I school, many face challenges outside the classroom, yet they come to school each day ready to explore, create, and grow. They especially enjoy hands-on STEM activities that allow them to think critically, solve real-world problems, and work collaboratively. Their determination, creativity, and excitement for learning make them truly special.

The large two-door refrigerator will make a difference in their learning by supporting the extended STEM experiences that take place before, during, and after school.

It will provide safe storage for snacks, beverages, and refreshments used during STEM clubs, engineering challenges, family STEM nights, and other enrichment activities. When students have access to properly stored food and drinks during these events, they are better able to stay focused, energized, and engaged in learning.

The goal of this project is to create a supportive environment where students can fully participate in STEM learning opportunities without barriers. The refrigerator will help us maintain food safety, better organize STEM events, and support family engagement activities that strengthen connections between school and home. By meeting students' basic needs and supporting extended learning opportunities, this resource will help ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive, explore, and succeed in STEM.
