Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year Spanish teacher, I am excited to create a welcoming and engaging classroom where students can build confidence in their language abilities and develop a greater appreciation for different cultures. My students come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique experiences, perspectives, and talents to the classroom. I want them to feel supported, challenged, and excited to take risks as they develop their communication skills in Spanish.

My goal is to create an interactive learning environment where language comes to life through collaboration, practice, and meaningful participation.

Students will use the mini whiteboards and dry erase supplies to practice vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and conversational activities while receiving immediate feedback. The laminator will allow me to create durable classroom visuals, learning games, reference materials, and hands-on activities that can be used throughout the year. Pencils will ensure that every student has access to the supplies needed to fully participate in class.

Healthy snacks will help students stay focused and engaged during extended learning activities, while disinfecting wipes and classroom cleaning supplies will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment. With these resources, my students will have the tools they need to build confidence, strengthen their Spanish proficiency, and develop a lifelong appreciation for language and culture.
