My Project

What I love most about my students is their resilience, positivity, and ability to find joy in every day. Each student brings a unique perspective, personality, and set of strengths to our classroom. They face challenges with courage, adapt to changes with remarkable flexibility, and continue to show kindness, determination, and a wonderful sense of humor. They remind us daily that growth looks different for everyone and that success comes in many forms.

Our adaptive classroom is dedicated to preparing students for independent, successful lives beyond high school through hands-on learning and real-world experiences.

An all-in-one washer and dryer will provide hands-on opportunities for students to learn essential daily living skills such as sorting laundry, reading care labels, measuring detergent, operating appliances safely, folding clothing, and following multi-step directions. These are skills many people take for granted, but they are critical for helping our students become more independent and confident adults.

Having this equipment in our classroom will allow students to practice these skills regularly in a safe, supportive environment. Through repetition and real-world experiences, students will build independence, responsibility, problem-solving skills, and self-confidence. More importantly, they will gain the knowledge that they are capable of caring for themselves and contributing meaningfully to their homes, workplaces, and communities. Your support will help provide opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom and will impact our students for years to come.
