My Project

Many children today are exposed to screens from a very young age. While technology can be a useful tool, it can also limit opportunities for children to practice important social and creative skills. During soft starts, students begin their day with open-ended activities that encourage conversation, collaboration, problem-solving, and imaginative play. These experiences help children learn how to interact with peers, share ideas, and create independently without relying on step-by-step directions. By providing opportunities and materials for hands-on STEM exploration, soft starts support the development of creativity, communication, and confidence in the classroom.
