Help me give my students the opportunity to build healthy habits, stay motivated during physical activity, and learn how their bodies respond to exercise through interactive heart rate technology that makes fitness fun, engaging, and meaningful.

My Project

Physical education plays an important role in helping students develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime. My students love to move, compete, and participate in activities, but many struggle to understand how exercise impacts their bodies and overall health. I want to provide them with meaningful opportunities to learn about fitness in a way that is engaging, interactive, and motivating.

The Heart Zones Heart Rate Class Pack 30 will allow students to monitor their heart rates in real time while participating in PE activities.

Students will wear comfortable heart rate monitors during class and receive immediate feedback that helps them recognize when they are exercising within healthy heart rate zones. This technology encourages students to stay active, challenge themselves appropriately, and focus on personal growth rather than comparison with others.

This equipment will benefit multiple classes throughout the school day and impact hundreds of students each week. The monitors will be used during cardiovascular endurance activities, fitness stations, cooperative games, walking and running units, and health-related fitness lessons. Students will also strengthen important life skills such as goal setting, perseverance, self-monitoring, teamwork, and confidence.

Many children today need more opportunities to develop positive relationships with physical activity. By bringing heart rate technology into our PE program, students will gain a deeper understanding of their health while making exercise exciting and enjoyable. This project will help create an environment where every student feels encouraged to participate, improve, and celebrate their progress.

Your support will provide students with innovative fitness technology that promotes healthy lifestyles, active learning, and lifelong wellness habits that extend far beyond the gymnasium.
