Move to Learn: Building Skills Through Interactive Play

Help me give my students a Nex Playground. This interactive learning and movement system would provide students with opportunities to improve gross motor skills, social-emotional development, communication, sensory regulation, and cooperative learning through movement-based educational activities and games.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their resilience, joy, and determination. Every day they come into our classroom ready to try again, celebrate small victories, and encourage one another. Many of my students face academic, communication, behavioral, sensory, or developmental challenges, yet they continue to show tremendous growth when given the right supports and opportunities. They are creative, energetic, caring, and eager to learn through hands-on experiences. Watching their confidence grow after mastering a skill they once struggled with is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

My students learn best through movement, visual supports, interactive activities, and structured social opportunities.

Traditional instruction alone is often not enough to keep them fully engaged or meet their sensory and learning needs. The Nex Playground would provide an exciting and meaningful way for students to actively participate in learning while also supporting their physical, social, and emotional development.

This resource would help students improve gross motor skills, coordination, body awareness, and following directions through movement-based games and activities. It would also provide opportunities for students to practice important social skills such as turn-taking, teamwork, communication, patience, and problem-solving in a positive and motivating environment.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
