My Project

My elementary students are in desperate need of art materials to work their hand muscles. The use of Play-Doh for practice and then modeling clay for projects will be such a fun and effective learning experience for multiple grade levels. The Kwik Stix will be a new method of painting for my art students that also encourages development of motor skills and hand/arm muscles as well.

The focused use of these supplies is building up motor skills, dexterity, and hand muscles with K-5 but the upper grades will also benefit as sometimes big kids just wanna play, too!

The art scholars at my school consistently seek to try new art materials and have creative experiences and I believe these new art supplies will aid in the development of my students' artistic goals and provide opportunities to try new things.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
