Designing Spaces That Inspire Student Success

Help me give my students these classroom items that include a table, chairs, and rug are needed to create a welcoming, organized, and supportive learning environment for historically underprivileged high school students.

My Project

I love my students’ resilience, creativity, and honesty. Despite challenges they face outside of school, they come to class with unique perspectives, a strong sense of community, and a desire to be seen and valued.

They learn best in an environment that feels safe, calm, and respectful one that shows them they matter.

The cell phone and calculator caddy helps them stay focused and ensures fair access to tools. Flexible seating, lap desks, and tables allow students to choose how they learn best, increasing comfort and engagement. Soft lighting, rugs, plants, and décor create a calming atmosphere that reduces stress and supports focus.

Hands-on resources like games and the hydroponic garden encourage collaboration, curiosity, and problem-solving. Together, these resources help my students feel supported, motivated, and confident as learners.
