My Project

My students are an incredibly vibrant, hard-working, and resilient group of learners. They bring so much energy and joy into our classroom every single day, and I love how deeply they care for one another. However, like all children, they sometimes experience big emotions, stress, or sensory overload that can make it difficult to focus on their lessons.

To support them, I am building a dedicated calm corner in our classroom.

The squishy, tactile items requested for this project—including stress balls, soft plushies, and squeeze toys—will serve as vital emotional regulation tools. When a student feels overwhelmed, angry, or anxious, these resources will give them a safe, physical outlet to release tension and process their feelings. By having a cozy, comforting space to reset, my students will be able to quickly regain their focus, return to their desks ready to learn, and develop lifelong social-emotional coping skills. Thank you for helping me create a peaceful space where my students can thrive!
