Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve students who have Autism and a lower cognitive level. These students learn differently from those in general education. They need more tactile and visual learning tools. They also have sensory needs that may disrupt their school day when not met. The Xtra Tough Hand-Held Sensory Chew Toys for Autistic Children may help meet some of those sensory needs appropriately.

My students struggle with communication.

The majority of them are considered non verbal. Some of them are gestalt processors where the learn language in phrases and adopt words or phrases that interest them when they hear it. The PELTEFLU Voice Recording Button will help my students communicate and participate in lessons.

My students are also hands-on learners who grow through play. Items like the Double-Sided Magnetic Letter Tiles and MAGNA-TILES micro MAGS LEARN Numbers will help them play and learn at the same time.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
