My Project

I am seeking funding to provide a classroom supply of pencils that will be available to any student who may need them throughout the school year. While pencils may seem like a small item, they are one of the most essential tools students need each day to fully participate in learning.

Many students come to school without the necessary classroom materials needed for academic success and one of the most frequently needed supplies in our building is pencils.

My students often lose, break, or simply do not have pencils available for daily assignments, assessments, and classroom activities.

Without access to this basic tool, students can become frustrated, embarrassed, or disengaged from learning opportunities. I regularly provide pencils out of my own personal funds to ensure students are prepared and able to participate.

Grant funds will be used to purchase a large supply of pencils and pencil cases that can be distributed to students as needed throughout the school year. Although pencils may seem like a small resource, they have a significant impact on a student’s ability to fully participate in learning. This grant will help ensure every student has access to the most basic educational tool needed to succeed each day.
