My Project

I teach two inclusion high school math classes where students work hard every day to build confidence and grow as mathematicians, despite having a wide range of learning needs. Access to the right tools makes a meaningful difference in their ability to engage with grade-level content, especially when tackling complex problems, graphing, and real-world applications.

Many of my students rely on calculators to participate fully and independently, and having dependable classroom sets is essential.

I am requesting funding for rechargeable TI-84 Plus CE calculators so every student has consistent access to a reliable device. These calculators will be used daily for instruction, practice, and assessments, helping students stay focused and prepared without the interruptions caused by dead or missing batteries.

The rechargeable feature will also reduce ongoing costs and minimize environmental impact by cutting down on battery waste. This investment will provide my students with equitable access to essential learning tools, empowering them to build skills, confidence, and independence in math while supporting a more sustainable classroom.
