Help me give my students social emotional learning resources, such as a cube chair, fidgets, and other tools to utilize in our Wellness Room, a place where we teach our students stress reduction strategies and interventions.

My Project

Our school's Wellness Center is a space where students learn, practice and support each other's mental health & overall well-being.

Comfortable seating, such as the cube chair, art supplies, breathing exercises, music, yoga mats / materials and sensory bins are just some of the stress reduction strategies and interventions that are utilized in the Wellness Center.

Students are taught how to utilize these strategies in the school environment, as well as at home and in their communities.

Most importantly is that our students learn how to prioritize their mental health. Good mental health, just like physical health, needs to be addressed proactively rather than reactively

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
