Help me give my students flexible seating. A comfy rug and seating would be awesome for the students. We all know that sitting in uncomfortable chairs all day is not fun at all!

My Project

In our classroom, "sitting still" is a tall order, and honestly, why should we? My students are a vibrant group of 5th-graders who are thinkers, builders, and dreamers who are bursting with ideas. But sometimes, those big ideas come with a lot of "wiggles."

Right now, my students are limited to traditional, hard plastic chairs.

For a child who needs to move to focus, these chairs can feel like a cage for their creativity. Imagine trying to solve a complex math problem or dive into a deep story while your body is telling you it needs to move!

We know that flexible minds need flexible seating. When students have the power to choose a seat that fits their sensory needs, whether it’s a wobble stool to burn off energy, a floor rocker for a cozy reading session, or a bouncy band to keep their feet busy, their focus shifts from "how do I stay still?" to "how do I solve this?"
