My Project

In middle school, we are challenged to keep students reading for learning and pleasure. We need to entice them with quality, high-interest titles that they will be excited to read! Our library serves about 550 students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. It is a constant challenge to keep our students excited about reading.

We would like to add a book vending machine to our school to get our students excited about reading!

Students will have the opportunity to earn tokens for the vending machine by reading, showing growth and being caught doing something good! We will keep the machine stocked with titles the students want to read through donations and fundraisers throughout the school year. This donation will allow us to add this cool way to reward our students and keep our students reading! The book vending machine will be available through our school library to all of our students for many years to come.
