Imagine Music with Orff Instruments!

My Students

We love music at Imagine AOC, but sadly the students here do not get many opportunities to play instruments!

Here at IAOC, we strive to create leaders one child at a time.

Our students work hard every year to achieve their goals and strengthen their character. IAOC is a K-8 charter school that educates about 400 students. We are 90% free and reduced, which means that 90% of our students' families receive government aid. Our students don't have much, but they take pride in what they do have. I am humbled by my students every day, and proud to teach them!

My Project

With these 2 Orff instruments that we are asking for, our students would be able to enhance their musical skills. We sing every day in class, but yet we are not able to play many instruments. What instruments we do have, such as drums, rhythm sticks, shakers, and so on, are not melodic instruments, and are also not of high quality. Melodic instruments like the Orff xylophones we are requesting would go a long way in helping our students develop pitch, play ostinatos, and learn how to play together in an ensemble, aka "a team". Orff instruments could be used in any lesson, and with any song!

Your donations would enrich the lives of our students.

Many of them, if not all of them, have never even seen an Orff instrument, let alone played one. If we were able to obtain just 2 Orff instruments it would enhance any music lesson or song. Our students will be "itching" to play these xylophones every time they come to music! Thank you! Go Wildcats!
