My Students

Do you remember the thrill you got from using new crayons and new pencils with sharp points and unused erasers on the first day of school? My upcoming students will be excited to have new crayons and pencils on the first day of school.

About one third of the kindergarten students attended pre-school last year.

My school is located in a high poverty community and I want to provide my students with the best beginning. The students are eager to learn and will be thrilled to have their very own supplies to begin the year.

My Project

Wow the shelves are empty! Most of my students come to school with no supplies at all. Our glue bottles are empty, paper for painting is limited, short pencils with no erasers and broken crayons are all that's left. I am requesting "large" crayons and pencils for my kindergarten students. At this young age their fine motor skills are still developing and I believe it is important for children to learn to write and color with the large crayons and pencils.

My schools new motto is to provide the "best beginning".

I feel that with your support of this project you will provide my kindergarten students with the best beginning. Supplies are going to be sparse this upcoming school year and that is why I have created this project.
