I teach 3rd grade math at a high poverty school in Louisiana. I absolutely love my job and even more my students that I teach.

My students need to get as excited about learning as I am about teaching the material. I need to make them want to wake up every morning and run off to school with a smile on their face. I really think that these math games might help me get my students on the right track. I have selected several games that go along with the content that my students are learning and having difficulties with. I feel that if we review the material in game format the students will be able to connect with the material more so than a regular review worksheet. Some of the games include: pizza fraction, money bingo, measuring marathon game, and other real-life games that can reinforce much needed concepts to my students.

I have a lot of low-level learners that are working with me and my other students. They are really improving. They love hands-on activities. They also love to work together. They are low learners and need a confidence boost from some of my higher students. I need these games because they will bring our class together and show that we can all learn and work together to achieve a common goal. These games would really get my students excited about math.

My students mean the world to me and I truly wish I could provide them with as much materials as they need. Being a teacher, I spend most of my salary on my students. With help from you I could provide them with a more exciting learning environment that would get them engaged in math. Ultimately an engaged child is one who successful. Please help my children become successful learners and help us get math games that will really get them pumped about learning!
