Capturing The Past While Creating The Future

My students need 3 digital cameras to use for a variety of projects in technology class including visually documenting the entire school year.

My Students

Do you ever go back and look fondly at your yearbooks from when you were in school? My students will be unable to do this in the upcoming year because a sticky-fingered thief stole our only way to capture these memories, our digital cameras!

My students come from a variety of cultural and social-economical backgrounds.

Most live in a very underprivileged part of Arizona. Our Title 1 school community speaks over 20 different languages. For many of them, my technology class is the first time they have been able to use technology (computers, cameras, etc). They work hard and are actively self-motivated in everything they do in class.

My Project

These cameras will give my students the ability to learn a variety of hands on technology-based skills that they would otherwise not be exposed to. These skills can lead to potential employment opportunities as well as aid in developing a better comprehension and love of technology. They will be able to document their school year in a variety of ways to share and save for years to come.

Please help my students preserve memories in a variety of formats (CD, yearbook, programs, etc)and learn new technology skills that they will keep, use, pass on, and share for years to come!
