Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My first grade class is part of a Title One, low income school, that learns every subject in school from me throughout the day.

My students face extensive cut-backs in budget cuts and already face obstacles being brought up in poverty. They need your help to have meaningful and rich experiences in math this year.

The resources I need to create the "Mighty Mathematician Laboratory" will supply students with an added interest in math and will give them the extra support they need to succeed despite hard economic times. Each item will help multiply the students' interest in math, make learning math hands-on, and will help them to solve math problems that they will encounter in real-life.

You can help make math meaningful and rich for my wonderful first grade class! Help make them realize how important math is for them to learn and how much fun it can be!
