Help Create an Amazing Literature Experience!

My students need a more diverse array of 29 books including book titles such as "Iggie's House" and "The Blue Hill Meadows" in order to provide a meaningful reading workshop experience.

My students love to read and I want to be able to provide them with books that will foster their love of reading. I am a fourth grade teacher in a high-need area. While I have been very fortunate to receive many great pieces of literature, I find that I still don't have enough books that my students love.

When my students go "book shopping", I constantly hear them saying, "I don't like any of these books!" I must say that some of the books are quite dated. If it were possible I would go out and buy every book I could for my students. Since we have books, buying new literature is need a priority considering all the budget cuts.

I chose a wide array of books that my students will use as mentor texts and pleasure reading books. I have picked these books based on their requests, so I know that they will surely benefit from them.
