Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 10 wonderful students who face physical and mental challenges daily. Ages 9-12 they are always eager to learn and be active citizens in the school environment.

We are embarking on a Recycle Challenge to help our school be green. Each week we will be collecting recyclable bottles and cans from each classroom and office on our school campus. Then we will sort, de-tab and bag plastic bottles, aluminum cans and glass containers for the journey to the recycling center.

In order to be more efficient we need large recycling bins and plastic bags for sorting. Work gloves will help protect our hands from germs and sharp edges and while we are doing all this recycling our teacher will be filming what we do for our "Disney Planet Challenge" Project.

Help us make a "Greener Planet: one bottle and one can at a time! As a team we can make the world a better place for future generations.
