Second grade classroom in great need of classroom rug! I am the proud teacher of a wonderful group of 2nd graders that includes special education inclusion students. I work in a small public school located just outside the New Orleans area.

For many of my students our classroom serves as a second family. They love learning and growing together. They especially enjoy small group work and whole group lessons. Currently, there is no rug in the classroom so if students need extra space for projects they have to work on the tile floor, which isn't ideal.

My class is asking for a classroom rug to bring my class together as one. We would use the rug every day to come together as a group to work on whole group lessons and small group lessons. The rug would provide much needed comfort when working on the floor. Since my classroom is an inclusion classroom the rug would help the special education students interact with the regular education students in a comfortable way.

My students try there hardest everyday in class. As a teacher I want to provide them with every tool possible to help them learn. A classroom rug would add so many possibilities for teaching and learning to take place. By donating you will make it possible for my students to have added comfort in their classroom. Little touches like this rug help make a classroom feel like a home.
