MP3 Players for Severely Disabled Students

My students need 8 mp3 players.

Grades 6-8

I teach adolescent students with severe disabilities in a middle school serving a disproportionately economically disadvantaged population. My naturally curious students are often distracted by others while they work independently. Listening to music with their own headphones would bring great joy to their work day.

All my students love music, yet our school cannot afford the new technology. Special needs students just love music and middle school adolescent students are so curious about technology. My project will allow these kids to have a brighter, more productive day.

We need 8 mp3 players with individual headphones so that I may put on easy listening music for the student to enjoy while they work, introducing them to the latest technology, letting them be "cool" with their peers, and giving the gift of music while they complete their assigned classwork.

Your help will ensure my students a more enjoyable successful day. You do make a difference for these kids!!
