Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a middle school teacher who teaches in a low socio-economic community. One of my goal is to provide direct experience for my students by attending field trips to further their understanding/concepts of lessons taught in class. However, there are times when you are limited to travel to such places as the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Yellowstone Park, and many other historical sites and monuments. Therefore, I go to the library and check out DVDs on these related topics to enhance their studies as we read about these wonderful sites, history, and monuments in our textbook. Currently, I use my laptop to show the DVDs using my personal computer speakers that does not provide or put out enough sound to be heard throughout the entire classroom. Often times, the students complain that they can't hear or tell me to turn it up louder. These speakers just can't do the job. Therefore, I am in need of new speakers that will allow my students to listen attentively to educational DVDs that I check out without them complaining about the sound. To close, these speakers will be a great asset. Please help me achieve this goal. Thank you for considering this proposal.
