My students need 2 CD players for chorus and their general music classes.

I teach chorus and general music in an inner city school with no money for the music and arts. My students are in grades kindergarten through 5th grade and love singing, moving, and dancing in music class!

I teach about 1000 students a year, and roughly get $O.03 per student for a budget. There are so many things my students could use, but I really have to pick and choose what I buy. This is where you can make a difference in my students' musical lives!

My students are always saying they can't hear the music, so I have cheap computer speakers that plug into the little cd player I have to make it a little louder. This is works for now with small classes but, I have a chorus that just keeps growing. When I started teaching at this school I was told the chorus had 20 kids in it from 4th and 5th grade. Well this is my second year here and there are now almost 100 students. Thus, we need two new stereo systems. We need one for chorus because it meets in the gym and another one for the music classroom.

All my students want to do is hear the music in their music class! They want to sing and dance and play and hum with a new stereo system! Thank you for looking at our request, and giving my students equipment they need, but would never have without donors like you.
