My Students

Students today are introduced to a world of technology. The iPod touch is an integral piece of the technology world today. Most of our students do not have access to this type of technology. Our students are progress monitored every two weeks and the palms currently used are worn out.

The students in the district come from a very rural community which has a low socio-economic background.

In the past 8 years the population has gone from 95 percent white and 5 percent African American, to having some classrooms with 50 percent Hispanic. The iPod will allow us to incorporate bilingual programs into the classroom.

My Project

The iPod touch will allow for our students to experience educational applications and interaction with technology that they would not otherwise have the chance to experience. This small rural community is located in a very poor area of the state. Virtual field trips can be downloaded on the iPod touch to introduce students to the world around them.

Donations to this project will enhance student learning by allowing access to new technology and provide an assessment tool the students can use.

Applications to support all students will finally be available.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
