Glitter Makes the World Sparkle**

My students need a variety of art supplies and materials including glitter, beads, wiggle eyes, felt, pipe cleaners, and art kits including all sorts of arts and crafts materials.

Please help me put a sparkle in my students' eyes. I teach in a high-risk, high poverty community where most students who attend the school are qualified for free or reduced lunch. Many materials and supplies that teachers need are not provided by the school due to little or no funding.

The students at my school have not had the opportunity to experience art class in many years. There is no funding for an art teacher and the district doesn't see this as a priority. There are no art supplies for the students to use so if a teacher decides to do an art project with his or her students the funding comes out of their own pocket the majority of the time. Students love working with fun art materials and expressing their individuality through art, they just aren't given the chance to do it.

I have been given the chance to teach art to the entire school. I will need many art supplies and materials to do so. The school is not able to fund my projects therefore the funding will be coming out of my pocket. I am asking you to help me give my students the art they deserve. All students deserve to experience being creative through art. I will need a variety of art materials including glitter, wiggle eyes, felt, pipe cleaners and art project do-dads to make these art projects fun and exciting. My students will have something to bring home to their parents and be proud to say they created that piece of art by themselves at school. My students will be able to express their individuality and personalities with your help!

With your help and donations you will put that sparkle back into my students eyes. You will give them a chance to experience what an art class should be.
