Calculating the Cost for Deaf Students

My students need 2 TI-84 graphing calculators.

"I am a teacher for the deaf serving children in grades Pre-K thru 12. The students that I serve use Cochlear Implants/Hearing Aids and spoken language to communicate. In order to be successful at spoken language my students work extraordinarily hard and their families often have to make sacrifices in order to afford to maintain working hearing aids and cochlear implants.

The families of my students have additional expenses with their children's hearing equipment and maintenance can run in the thousands of dollars each year, that insurance does not cover. Because of these additional expenses it is often the case that my students and their families can not afford basic classroom supplies. This year two of my high school students are taking Algebra 1 and they do not have nor can their families afford to by a graphing calculator that they can take home to do homework. In addition the schools that they attend do not have a calculator check out program.

I would like to request is 2 - TI 84 Calculators for my current/future students to be able to check out and take home to do their Algebra 1 home work.

Thank you for considering us for your donation. My students have many challenges however with their hard work and your donation we can make the difference in their education and their future success.
