Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach second grade at a Title I school where 99% of the students have at least one parent in the military.

Unfortunately, we still have a couple of old apple computers like the LCII. They work but they freeze up when students are working on computer games that support learning in math and reading. We have a new computer program that supports reading and writing but unfortunately, the computers we have either support freeze up or do not have the capacity to hold the new computer programs.

We would like a computer to share in the classroom that has the capacity to hold programs that support their learning. One computer can help support reading and math, and students wouldn't have to worry about restarting the computer when it freezes.

Your help will ensure that we are moving into this 21st century with a computer that students will share and students will become computer literate with a computer that is up to date.
