Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I want my third grade students to fall in love with reading this year. I live and work in a high-need community in California.

The first thing I thought of when I saw my tile-floored room was that there was no inviting place to sit on the floor with a good book.

The rug and the 3 bean bags chairs will be a great start to my reading corner. Students will be able to curl up with a good book even in the midst of a busy day. It is so important for kids to learn HOW to read, but also to learn to LOVE to read.

If you donate, you will make it possible for my students to relax and read. Most do not get this opportunity at home. I desire each of my students to be life long learners and loving to read is a crucial aspect.
