I teach in a high-need/low-income community. Our school consists mostly of first generation Latin and Chinese students. I teach second grade at the best school ever! I typically spend around $200 out of my own pocket every summer before school begins to be ready for my students when they begin. But there are still so many more items that would facilitate the work environment for myself as well as my students.

We have to continuously assess our students in every subject that we teach on a weekly/monthly basis. I usually place literature books between students to prevent them from copying from each other. However, the books keep falling on top of their papers/flopping on to the floor/etc.

I need 22 or 23 study carrels so my students can better focus/concentrate on the paper or test they are taking at the time.

Your help will ensure that my students have a private area of their own when they need to concentrate the most! They don't have to put their entire body and arms all over their paper to make sure that nobody copies their answers. They will be able to relax and do the best job possible which is all we can ask for! :)
