I teach first grade students that are eager and ready to learn. They are very curious about things around them. Money is very important to them. Some receive an allowance but the majority do not. I think it is very important for them to have a real understanding of money. It is something they will use every day of their lives.

I want my students to have a good understanding about money and its value. I want them to know how to count and spend the money they earn.

Any time children can manipulate items they learn quicker. The money manipulatives will be a wonderful asset in the classroom. The students will love moving the large money around and stamping out amounts of money to match an item they want to purchase. The games and puzzles will allow them to practice the concept we have practiced as a class independently.

Your donations will help to teach my students the value of money. This is something that goes beyond the classroom, it goes on forever.
